~ The path winds and each turn brings a new opportunity...to grow from place or walk through the fire, burn it all down...and start over. ~
In 2012, I received an Autism Spectrum diagnosis. I was 36. This both informed upon, and was a cause of, the implosion of my life: work, school, friendships and other relationships all took a hit. It also freed me to be the person I truly am. I left behind more socially-oriented paths, and re-discovered a love of languages, travel, and my art.
It's been 5(+) years since my diagnosis. I continue to learn more about how Autism - the challenging and the utterly amazing - affects my life, how it has always affected my life, and how to work with it for my future.
This is a chronicle of how I sift through the ashes & try to understand my Autism, forge a new path in my careers & life, and, ultimately, come full circle as I find the parts of me that I'd lost. There will be good, bad, and ugly to be had in this blog. In other words, Reader Beware.
I remain, as always: a Renaissance Woman, a Walker of the Way, a Shaman, a Pirate, a Chameleon, and a Phoenix.
